Job Purpose

           

To provide high quality general legal advice and support to GTC Scotland (including its staff and Council) related to GTC Scotland's work with a view to assisting the Director of Regulation and Legal Services to ensure organisational legal compliance.

The role is a general in-house legal adviser role: legal advice in the context of the GTCS Regulation function is overseen by the Senior Manager: Regulation and does not fall within the scope of this post.

Job Purpose

The Registration Case Assessor will be responsible for the processing and assessment of applications to the register from teachers.

The Registration Case Assessor will be part of the Education Operations Team. The Senior Manager: Operations, ERPL has overall responsibility and strategic oversight for this team and provides line management responsibility.
